Qualifications

Keith Gess completed his BA LLB at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and was admitted as an attorney in 1991. Since then, he has practiced exclusively in criminal law, becoming one of South Africa’s pre-eminent specialists in the field.


Career History

Over the course of his career, Keith has practiced independently and in several highly-respected specialist law firms, including Botha DuPlessis and Kruger (now BDK Attorneys), Murphy Foxcroft Wallace and Gess, and Mathewson Gess Inc.

Keith’s goal has always been to raise the level of competence, integrity and effective representation in an often-maligned field of law. He has been a mentor and role model for countless aspiring criminal attorneys over the years.
